I personally created and had some mousepads made. I'm not sure why but I only had two mousepads in my lifetime use of my computer while my other friends have so many. Perhaps mousepads are becoming extinct because of laptops. It's just so inconvenient for me to use my forefinger and so I prefer my mouse and my brand new mousepad.

Oh most beautiful flower of Mt. Carmel, fruitful vine of splendor of heaven, Blessed Mother of the Son of God, Immaculate Virgin, assist me in my necessity. Oh, Star of the Sea, help me and show me, herein you are my mother. Oh, Holy Mary, Mother of God, Queen of Heaven and Earth! I humbly beseech you from the bottom of my heart to succor me in this necessity. There are none that can withstand your power. Oh, show me herein you are my mother. Oh, Mary conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee (3X) Holy Mother. I place this cause in your hands. (3X) Holy Spirit, you who solve all problems, light all roads so that I may attain my goal. You who gave me the divine gift to forgive and forget all evil against me and that in all instances in my life you are with me. I want in this short prayer to thank you for all things, as you confirm once again, that I never want to be separated from you in Eternal Glory. Thank you for your mercy toward me and mine.
The person must say this prayer 3 consecutive days. After 3 days the request will be granted. This prayer must be published after the favor is granted.

MARCH 5, 2014 ASH WEDNESDAY BEGINNING OF LENTEN JOURNEY The ashes which are distributed today were made from old palm branches given out last year on Palm Sunday. The practice of using last year's palms for this year's ashes is not a new ritual, but it actually dates back to the 12th century. Some parishes hold special "palm burning" ceremonies in the weeks or days before Ash Wednesday. This practice is common in other countries, such as the Philippines where palms are burned on the day before Ash Wednesday.
You are dust and unto dust you shall return

February 25, 2009 Today is Ash Wednesday, the beginning of the Lenten Season. For me, it's always a good beginning to go to church early in the morning and follow the way of the Lord. I always take this praise to heart and soul, as the priest make the sign of the cross on my forehead with ashes from last year's burned palms, "Thou art dust and unto dust you shall return." It's the most solemn tradition in the Christian world - praying, fasting and almsgiving in silence. What am I going to do and choose in my fasting? Whatever it is, it will always be acceptable to our God. Have a Lent of grace and a purpose driven life!

MARDI GRAS (FAT TUESDAY) AND CARNIVAL (FAREWELL TO MEAT) PRECEDE ASH WEDNESDAY AND LENT.
LENTEN REGULATIONS (FROM FEBRUARY 18, 2015, ASH WEDNESDAY, TO THE PASCHAL TRIDUUM) - U.S. Bishops statement on penitential observances, 1966
Abstinence from meat is to be observed by all Catholics 14 years old and older on Ash Wednesday and on all Fridays of Lent.
Fasting is to be observed on Ash Wednesday by all Catholics who are 18 years of age but not yet 59. Those who are bound by this may take only one full meal. Two smaller meals are permitted if necessary to maintain strength according to one's needs, but eating solid foods between meals is not permitted.
The special Paschal fast, as well as an abstinence, are prescribed for Good Friday and encouraged for Holy Saturday.
By the threefold discipline of fasting, almsgiving and prayer the church keeps Lent from Ash Wednesday until the evening of Holy Thursday. All of the faithful and the catechumens should undertake the serious practice of these three traditions. Failure to observe penitential days totally or a substantial number of such days must be considered serious.
On weekdays of Lent, we strongly recommend participation in daily Mass and self-imposed observances of fasting. In light of grave human needs which weigh on the Christian conscience in all seasons, we urge particularly during Lent, generosity to local, national and world programs of sharing of all things needed to translate our duty to penance into means of implementing the right of the poor to their part of our abundance.
Last night, When I awoke I heard you call my name. You refreshed my soul; I felt your burning flame. Oh, strengthen me to bear my cross and walk your way. Give me grace to comfort those with all I say. Give me ears to listen. Give me eyes to see. Give me words to speak And show your face to me. Published 4/4/11 ust1611 multiply Web Page: Lenten Song
Oh, no! It's what you add to the ice that's bad! One exception: I'm a Coke drinker, put 4 ice cubes to the glass, add Coke, watch the fizz-fizz and then drink. Both good. Bottoms up!

My family and I love to eat not cook. But for the health conscious, the cooking system demonstrated at Vicky's house, with its advanced stainless steel plus titanium technology is by far the best! It's saving and convenience you can believe in. I must say all kitchen divas or chefs should have this cooking equipment in their kitchens. If you're hired as a cook, you should recommend it to your well-to-do or rich employer (the price is kind of up there but well worth it in the long run).
Think of how much you'll be able to save in not buying cooking oil. (See my video: Amazing Cooking Equipment at Vicky's Kitchen)

Thanks for sharing, Josie. Since there's no PAL route in Chicago I'm going to miss my favorite pork belly that they are offering as part of their menu. I bet there's no PAL discount either because of all the amenities.
