What a big surprise! I have not seen Offie and her lovely daughter Gemma, who's now a nurse at Edwards Hospital, since 1996.
She was invited by Vicky, her kumare and classmate also, at the devotion for Our Lady of Manaoag.
Her son Ian had a prior commitment and did not come with them.

For our MedTech reunion, Offie said she'll just meet us at Grand Victoria casino since her house is just half an hour away.  She'll attend the John Hancock Sunday brunch also.

Nora of La Mirada, California

WEDDING OF NORA & ILDE
40-YEAR ANNIVERSARY

So beautiful and memorable photos of the wedding of MedTech batchmate Nora in California.  I appreciate the thoughtfulness since I was swinging and living the high life and far away in the Windy City.

Congratulations Nora & Ilde

Nora, UST MedTech Batchmate, mailed me her 2009 Christmas card --

Her lovely and talented daughter Elaine graduated cum laude in Cinema.  Indeed the whole family was very proud.  Spending her student days in Paris must have given her a lot of experience in cinematographic know-how.  I was told by Fely of Toronto that she's doing script-writing also.

San Lazaro Hospital
San Lazaro Hospital is the main TB Sanitarium in the Philippines.  As an intern in those days we did not wear mask and gloves for protection from this very communicable disease.  My unforgettable experience was I went to a patient to draw blood as a phlebotomy experience and found out the patient was dead.  No wonder I could not get blood from an already emaciated body!
