Dear Budz, I do miss Manila!! I have not been back to the Philippines since 1974. Thank you for the San Sebastian Church. My family was a part of San Sebastian College for decades. My Father, Dr. Miguel U. Yap was first the registrar, then Principal of Elementary School, Dean of College of Commerce and Liberal arts  and finally became the first Secretary General of San Sebastian College and I took my 4 years in Law School while I was subsequently doing Medical tech. Internship after finishing Pharmacy. So many memories that I want to go back to and I miss UST. Those were my golden days and the happiest. Thank you for awaking my senses again. Sincerely, Miadora Yap Lesaca

Hi, World Traveler Lillian!

Looking at the photos, not much is extinct.  I was just in the Philippines - I still saw the old Spanish homes of middle-class Filipinos in Vigan

the karetelas, the carabaos and the main product and truly made in the Philippines - its people and by-products of 92 million.  However, as a gallivanting traveler myself, I've been wondering why I did not see any fountain with the exception of one (UST

like in Europe and what we have here in Chicago (Buckingham Fountain, good imitation of Versailles fountain), in any of the places I was fortunate to see.  I recommend to Manila city planners to build a big fountain in Rizal Park.

I must say I was very impressed of the NEW MANILA.  Wherever I went I only saw beautiful people.

Proud to be a Filipino & a Tomasino.

In loveBudz1
